Course Overview
Course Objective: The primary objective of the First Aid & CPR course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to medical emergencies, injuries, and cardiac arrest situations. This training aims to empower individuals to act swiftly and confidently in providing immediate care and assistance until professional medical help arrives.
Course Content:
Introduction to First Aid:
Understanding the importance of first aid
Legal considerations and Good Samaritan laws
Recognizing emergency situations
Assessing the scene and ensuring safety
Basic Life Support (BLS):
Basic anatomy and physiology of the human body
Recognition of signs and symptoms of medical emergencies (e.g., heart attack, stroke, choking)
Techniques for opening the airway, checking for breathing, and assessing circulation
Hands-on practice of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) on adult, child, and infant mannequins
CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator):
Understanding the role of AED in cardiac emergencies
Proper operation and usage of AED devices
Integration of CPR and AED techniques in real-life scenarios
First Aid for Common Injuries:
Wound care and bleeding control
Treatment of burns, fractures, sprains, and strains
Management of allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
Recognition and response to shock

Dear Valued Participants,
We appreciate your commitment to enhancing your life-saving skills through our First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course. To ensure a smooth and effective learning experience, we kindly request your attention to the following important policies:
Preparation for the Course: To streamline the in-person session, we require a 2-hour online component by the American Red Cross to be completed before attending the 2.5 hour in-person class.
It is also imperative to possess a current Basic Level Certification (Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support Provider, or Lifeguard Certification) before registration.
Please email your Basic Level Certification to info@pulsepointmn.com no later than 2 days before the scheduled class. Failure to provide this certification will result in no refund, no reschedule, and exclusion from the class.
Cost: $90.00 per person for the First Aid/CPR/ AID Course
Refund Policy: Unfortunately we cannot provide refunds. Rescheduling is offered based on the policy outlined below.
Rescheduling Policy: Each student is allowed to reschedule only once, provided it is done 7 days in advance of the originally scheduled course. If you reschedule after the 7 days as stated there will be a $25.00 rescheduling fee.
To reschedule, email info@pulsepointmn.com with your name, email address, original class details, and course name. Reschedules are subject to seat availability and course scheduling.
Registered for the Wrong Class: Refunds are not issued once you register, as courses have different costs associated with the online portion and/or certification. Ensure you understand the course details before registering. Reach out to your employer, Human Resources, or college for clarification.
Emergency Situations: If you have an emergency situation and are not able to attend class unfortunately we do not give refunds for no shows under any circumstance.
Late Arrival: To maintain the schedule, prompt arrival is crucial. Please arrive no later than 5 minutes late. If you arrive later you may be denied entry into the course. No refunds will be given for those who miss class.
